PTA Is Doing Great Things!

Many of the books on the shelves of our library are out dated. Many times there are not enough of them to go around for research projects. The PTA would like your help in raising money for new books. This Tuesday, the 24th, you will find our “Can You Spare $1.00?” sign up sheet in your child's Tuesday folder. Please ask family, friends, co-worker & neighbors to support us by donating one dollar. As they donate their dollar please have them sign which comment is more appealing to them. Once all the lines have been signed and money collected return to your child’s teacher. We are asking that all nine grades participate. The Library is for everyone!

Asking for donations time and time again is hard on everyone. However, if we ask for amounts that won’t financially hurt our families we tend to receive more support. By helping us reach our goals you are helping our children reach theirs. The classroom that raises the most money will receive an ice cream party! We will run the fundraiser to Monday, May 7th. If you have books at home that you would like to donate, please contact your child’s teacher to see if they are appropriate. Together we can make a difference. Thank you in advance for your support!

Also on the 24th is the school's PBS Night! What does PBS stand for? Positive Behavior Support. Our teachers are seeing a big difference within our students as they use this new way of teaching. Please come have a free piece of pizza at 6:00 PM and then stay for the excellent presentation on why this program works so well. Your child will receive an Honor Dollar for each adult they bring. Each Honor Dollar will then be placed in the Wheel of Destiny for fabulous prizes!

The PTA will also present a huge gift to the school. The first school in the District to have one! (That is if the USPS brought it on time!) Please come support your school!
